Fintech revolutionizes Black Friday and Christmas credit with low interest rates

Already in the last quarter of the year, Brazil’s corporate credit market, especially those related to small and medium-sized enterprises, is gaining further momentum during this period. This comes as many companies accelerate their search for liquidity to replenish inventory and shore up operations through the end of the year.

Research shows this is a critical period for financial activity in the country, with companies increasingly turning to fundraising to take advantage of strategic dates such as Black Friday and Christmas, key moments to end the year on a positive note.

According to M3 Lending statistics, demand for loans from small and medium-sized enterprises increased by 30% in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the average of the previous period, and this pace is likely to be maintained throughout 2025.

In response to the high demand for resources, fintechs are emerging, offering a more agile, non-bureaucratic alternative for businesses that need a quick response when it comes to credit, along with competitive interest rates compared to many banks.

The market numbers prove it. The Digital Credit Fintech 2025 Study conducted by PwC Brazil and the Brazilian Digital Credit Association (ABCD) shows that the amount of credit in Brazil will increase by 68% in 2025. Sales of the association’s member companies amounted to R$35.5 billion, significantly higher than the previous year’s R$21.1 billion. Furthermore, the number of corporate customers served by fintechs has increased by 67%, with a focus on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, which account for 71.7% of the corporate customer base. An increasing presence is also observed among large companies, with around 800 customers with a turnover of more than R$300 million.

To give you an idea of ​​this movement, M3 Lending alone, which provides loans to small and medium-sized enterprises, released more than 20 million reais in 2024, focusing on working capital business. It is predicted that R$31 million in credits will be available by the end of this year, rising to R$10 million in the last quarter alone. ”

And this modality is expected to expand further. Although there are no concrete predictions for 2025, it is possible to observe trends that may influence the digital credit scenario next year. The Brazilian Central Bank, through its Monetary Policy Report, forecasts inflation at 3.6% by the end of 2026, which may indicate a more stable economic environment favorable to credit growth.
