A firearm has disappeared from a police station in Barreiro, Minas Gerais state. According to civilian police, investigators executed a search and seizure warrant this Sunday (9/11) and arrested a woman in connection with the loss of weapons and other items. An investigation has been launched to investigate the incident.
During the search and seizure process, corporate agents discovered that the firearms temporarily in the possession of administrative personnel belonged to the 1st Barreiro Civil Police Station.
In addition to the weapon, media and documents in her possession were also seized and will be subjected to forensic examination.

According to Aloysio Daniel Fagundes, head of the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG), the civil servant will be held responsible for the “misappropriation of firearms.” This is an act in which a public official embezzles firearms owned by him or her for the benefit of himself or others.
PCMG also announced that administrative remediation procedures are underway to ensure accountability for the misconduct discovered.
