Palmeiras president Leila Pereira has spoken out about this matter following a request from the Court of Sport Justice (STJD) to observe the trial of Flamengo striker Bruno Henrique on Monday (10/11) and the postponement of the analysis of the case.

The coach criticized the STJD’s decision and compared the court’s actions in the Flamengo striker’s case to Allan’s. Also, on Monday (10/11), Alviverde’s appeal was rejected and he will be excluded from the team’s next match.

“Palmeiras has always respected the institutions and will continue to respect them, but we expect the same respect in return. What is happening is unfair.”
The athlete will be found guilty of a serious offense and will play normally for two months, including scoring goals and deciding matches. When a new trial is finally scheduled, a vote is taken to acquit the athlete and the trial is postponed. On the other hand, Alan, a first-time offender, was suspended for one and two games, but the suspension was approved by the court just over 15 days later. And all this happens in a decisive week, when there will already be several absences due to FIFA data. I don’t want to benefit, but I can’t accept being harmed.
Palmeiras hopes that STJD will adopt a balanced stance and that its decisions will not affect the fate of the most contentious championship in recent years. Let’s decide the champion on the field.”
