The Brotherhood of Cigarella joins the elections of the Brotherhoods of La Estrella, Esperanza de Triana, O, Cachorro, São Gonzalo and Pasion y Muerte. It was announced this Saturday by Manuel Ares, representative of the main festival and of the districts of Triana and Los Remedios. He told organizers of his “desire to capture Holy Week in Triana, which has centuries-old roots and preserves the region’s popular flavors, pottery, devotion and strength.”

In this sense, Ares pointed out that: “The Brotherhood of Triana has chosen two protagonists who are sure to make Holy Week popular in this region, where Lent is already approaching.” “We have already been working with strength and enthusiasm for many months” on this celebration.

Ruben Theresa

Rubén Terriza González was born in 1996 in Puebla del Rio (Seville). I am a visual artist who focuses on painting and sculpture.

His works include the 2021 Seville Christmas Poster, the 2021 Osuna Holy Week Poster, the 2022 Malaga Holy Supper Poster, the 2023 Granada Glory Poster, the 2019 Triana Hope Poster, the 2019 Carmen de San Cayetano Poster, the 2018 Córdoba Glory Poster, and the Triana Youth Poster. In 2017, collaborations in magazines such as the poster of Divina Pastora de Capuchinos 2017, the cover of the museum newsletter 2017, the Montesión newsletter 2021 or Pasión en Sevilla. In 2017, he painted the dressing room of Divina Pastora in Triana, and in 2020 he painted “Glory” on the canopy of the Mission in Los Palacios and Villafranca. Similarly, he created sculptures such as one of the sheep and an individual of the Holy Pastora of the Capuchins in Seville.

Manuel Lamprea

Manuel Lamprea Ramirez was born in Seville in 1998. He completed his primary and secondary education at IES Itálica in Santi Ponce, where he began producing radio programs and participating in poetry recitals. A graduate in journalism from the University of Seville, he currently works for the local television station PTV Sevilla, where he is the director and in charge of the weekly Tuesday program “Sentir Cofrade” and the daily news program at 8:30 p.m. The channel also broadcasts and broadcasts Holy Week in Seville, extraordinary processions in the city, and other events. Likewise, he is an associate of El Parquillo, the brotherhood of Diario de Seville.

He worked in the public relations office of the Santiponce City Council and was the presenter and director of the radio program “Cinturon de Esparto” on the local radio station Onda Capital FM for two years. Next, he collaborated and participated in the Easter broadcasts of other local TV stations and worked with the digital platform Winet Media to prepare cultural TV reports for the whole of Andalusia.

He is the brother of Jesus Despojado, San Bernardo and El Cachorro. At the age of 15, he dedicated his first poetic act, the Exaltation of the Most Holy Mary of Sorrow and Mercy. He is also the co-author, along with José de León, of the “Sacra Conversazione” podcast, which is one of the most listened to podcasts at local and regional level on compatriot issues on platforms such as Spotify and Ivoox.

Similarly, he participated as a presenter in the broadcasts of the Orthodox coronations of Soledad de Cantillana, Sangre de Huébal and Carmen de Alcalá de Henares, and also published various works and texts in the newsletters and yearbooks of the Brotherhood of Seville. He participated in several roundtables in Seville and Jerez, and even beyond the borders of the community, on UNED’s online platform, and in September 2025 presented the Magna Procession “Lucena Vive La Pasion”.
