Exchange rate movements due to the weaker dollar versus the real will support a higher premium from the domestic interest rate curve, while market participants await the release of Copom minutes and key indicators on Brazilian inflation and economic activity later this week.
At around 9:15 a.m. (Brasilia time), the interest rate on the January 2027 Interbank Deposit (DI) contract decreased to 13.86% from 13.875% at the previous adjustment. The DI in January 2029 decreased from 13.07% to 13.04%. And that for the January 2031 contract fell from 13.375% to 13.345%.
