President Lula called Integration Minister Waldes Goes at least three times on Sunday (9/11) to discuss the tornado that killed six people in the interior of Paraná.
According to the column, during the conversation, the head of the Planalto Palace asked the minister to prioritize the release of resources to municipalities affected by the tornado.

On Sunday, while Mr. Lula was attending a serac conference in Colombia, Mr. Waldez traveled to Paraná state with his ministry’s engineers to assist mayors in lifting emergency deportations.

Another request from Mr. Lula, aides said, was for ministries acting in such situations to work in an integrated manner to “respond quickly to the public.”

Development Minister Waldes Goes and Minister Wellington Díaz are expected to return to Paraná by the end of this week to work on providing assistance to the people.
