On Sunday morning (9th) this week, a motorcyclist was burned to death while attempting to rob a Porsche on Calle Presidente Altino in the Jaguarre district of Sao Paulo’s western district.
Police said two armed men on motorcycles chased the Porsche down Main Street.
At number 2,970, a Mercedes coming from behind the Porsche would have noticed the attempted robbery and crashed into the rear of the bike. Police said both vehicles collided with a wall, causing a fire.
Fire officials said the man riding on the back of the motorcycle died at the scene. His body was charred. The bike rider managed to escape.
A loaded firearm was seized at the scene, according to the Public Safety Secretariat.
The case was registered in the 91st DP (Ceagesp) as attempted robbery, murder, self-defense, fire and vehicle seizure/location.
