If the proposal exceeds a 10% discount, the company must also pay a contribution of resources linked to the project. In addition, the country must pay a public contribution of R$1.2 billion.
The project is expected to purchase 45 new vessels to operate on this route, some of which will be electric. Onshore, it will also require construction and modernization of terminals, operations, control and billing systems.
The total routes included in PPP are: San Sebastian/Ilhabela. Santos/Vicente de Carvalho; Santos/Guaruja; Bertioga/Guaruja; Cananeia/Ilha Comprida; Cananeia/Continent; Cananeia/Ariri; Iguape/Jureia; Three routes of Paraibuna (Porto Paraitinga, Paraibuna/Natividade, Natividade/Centro). Three more routes in the São Paulo metropolitan area: Bolloré – Grajau, Tacuacetuba – Bolloré and João Basso – Riacho Grande.
