Botafogo draw with Vitoria away in Balladão to maintain sixth place in Brasileirão
Botafogo’s right-back Vitinho already knows what is stopping the black and white team from seeking a better place in the Brazilian Championship. This Sunday (9th), Glorioso drew 0-0 with Vitoria away in Balladão, Salvador, in the 33rd round of the domestic competition.
“The chances that are in front of us, we have to score goals. We failed in many matches because we missed the goal. Obviously, it’s not the result we wanted, but now it’s time to continue. We will use the FIFA dates to train, rest and come back to achieve the final goal,” pointed out the defender, who played for the Brazilian national team.
Botafogo are in 6th place with 52 points. The team had a chance to take fifth place if they beat their rivals in Bahia. The Brasileirão G5 includes participants who will participate directly in the group stages of the 2026 Copa Libertadores.
The team will return to the field after Data-FIFA, on November 18th at the Nilton Santos Stadium in matchday 34 of the domestic competition against Sport. The ball rolls at 8:30pm (Brasilia time).
