The criminal police officer found dead in uniform in his home in the inland city of Patos, Paraiba, has been identified as Edvânia Vieira da Silva.Featured photos), 44 years old.
The body was discovered on Saturday (August 11), the same day the victim’s husband, Leonardo Pereira Lima, 38, was briefly arrested in Caetes, Pernambuco on suspicion of the crime.

According to the Paraiba Prison Management Secretariat (Seap-PB), the employee is from BA Paulo Afonso, who had worked at Patos Women’s Prison for 13 years.
Colleagues said she was dedicated and recognized for her technical ability and ethical behavior. The wake and burial were held locally.

- A team of Paraiba military and civilian police was at the crime scene, along with the warden of the prison where Edvania worked.
- The door of the house was open.
- Edvania had been missing for two days, according to her family and colleagues.
- Preliminary examination showed signs of choking and bruising, but no perforation.

One of the details that caught the attention of the police was graffiti on the wall of the residence, with the inscription “X9”, possibly related to someone whistleblower, and the acronym CV, which stands for Comando Vermelho.
The authorities are husband (photo above), who allegedly created the graffiti to simulate an execution and distract from the investigation.
