Lionel Messi “shocked” the Barcelona world this Monday with a surprising post on his social networks from the Camp Nou with the message “I hope to be back someday”, which excited the fans.
The Argentina national team captain and current Inter Miami player uploaded a series of photos and videos from his visit to the stadium, where he said he was “very happy”.
The full message, uploaded by Messi on his Instagram account, read: “Last night I returned to a place that I remember very fondly. A place where I was very happy, a place where you made me feel a thousand times more like the happiest person in the world. I hope that I can not only say goodbye as a player, as I was unable to do, but that I can return someday.”
The post quickly went viral and revived the desire of the “Blaugranas”. Messi’s publication is a direct message about his bitter breakup with the club due to disagreements with president Joan Laporta.
Laporta himself spoke a few days ago about organizing a “memorial match” for Messi, with the stadium packed, as a “beautiful way to open the Camp Nou”.
