XP, Brazil’s largest securities firm, has hired Adriano Piccinin and Luis Condic to strengthen its global markets team serving corporate and institutional clients.
Piccinin, a former portfolio manager at Safra Asset Management, is now responsible for currencies, interest rates and commodity trading, XP reported. He has approximately 29 years of experience and has worked at banks such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and JP Morgan.
Kondic, who was previously responsible for structured derivatives at Itau BBA, will lead XP’s structured products division. He spent most of his 30-year career at Citi, where he also served as executive director of B3, Brazil’s securities and derivatives exchange.
Both executives will report directly to Leandro Cruz, XP’s head of global markets. Kondić is on “garden leave” and will start working at XP in December, while Piccinin started last week.
Piccinin and Kondic replace former XP executives Raphael Barbosa and Olivier Primout, respectively.
