The episode involving Lamine Yamal infuriated Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente. This Tuesday (11/11), the young star had to be removed from the list of the Spanish national team, as Barcelona reported an injury. The manager was surprised by the club’s decision.
“We have never experienced a similar situation. They say there is no news, we don’t know any details, but when it comes to health issues, we are surprised,” de la Fuente declared to RNE.

Lamine Yamal underwent treatment for pubodynia (pain in the pubic symphysis) on Monday (10/11), on which day the striker was scheduled to appear for the national team. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that Barcelona notified only after the formalities were completed.

REFF characterized the team’s selection as “invasive” and declared that they were surprised as they had not been previously warned about the possibility of injury.
This is not the first time that this young striker has been at the center of controversy between the Spanish team and Barcelona. In September, Hansi Flick questioned the fact that Yamal was on the pitch for Spain despite his injury. The player was let go in October after Barcelona reported that he was experiencing discomfort in his private parts.
