Angola’s Ambassador to Brazil, Manoel dos Santos, celebrated the partnership with Brazil and spoke of the strengthening of strategic cooperation between the two countries. The diplomat’s statement was made this Tuesday (November 11) during an event held in Brasilia to celebrate the African country’s 50th anniversary of independence.
“Angola and Brazil are now natural strategic partners, and their leaders, Presidents Lula da Silva and João Lorenzo, reaffirmed last May in Brasilia the importance of strengthening and deepening the historical, cultural and friendly relations between our peoples and our countries, and of taking our diverse and mutually beneficial strategic cooperation to a new level,” Santos said.
The head of Brazil’s diplomatic mission to Angola said the foreign ministries of both countries were working on “a process of expanding the strategic partnership” with the aim of turning the alliance into a “paradigm of Brazil-Africa cooperation”.
