One of the attractions of Pro Tour STU Rio 2025 is Canadian skateboarder Cordano Russell, who said he is excited to come to Brazil and compete in front of Brazilian fans. “I’m really happy to be here,” he said at a press conference in Rio de Janeiro this Wednesday (12th).
After competing in the STU stage in Porto Alegre, the athlete will make his debut on the track in Rio. “I’m looking forward to showing my tricks here and having a good time. I’ve already been able to visit Copacabana and have taken some photos with Christ the Redeemer in the background. In terms of energy, the Brazilian fans are among the best and the most engaged. It’s incredible!” he declared.

Cordano-Russell competes in the men’s street division and said he finds it a lot of fun to demonstrate his knowledge on the track. “To be honest, I’ve never felt any pressure. I just want to go out on the course and show what I know, my style. And of course, I always want to win. That’s all I really want to do in life. And other than see people enjoying what we’re doing out there. It’s cool to feel that energy on the course,” he concluded.
