Mr. Araujo is also vice president of the Brazilian Federation of Fisheries and Aquaculture Workers (CBPA). CBPA is one of the entities being investigated by the PF for allegedly being involved in unfair discount schemes for retirees and pensioners.
Last week, the Vice President of the CPMI, the Federal Vice President, Duarte Jr. (PSB-MA) filed a police report against Araujo. According to Duarte Jr., the state lawmaker allegedly threatened him and his family. During the CBPA President’s testimony before CPMI, Mr. Duarte Jr. asked about the CBPA’s relocation to Araujo.
