The midfielder is recovering from a broken rib, good news for the team as they approach the Copa do Brasil decider.
Cruzeiro performed again this Wednesday (12th) after taking a break at the beginning of the FIFA data break. Among the positive news is midfielder Matheus Enrique. He is making progress in his recovery from two spinal fractures and is already handling the ball separately from the rest of the team.
The player has been out of action since October 5, when he was injured in a match against Sport. Last week, Matthäus started running on the field under medical supervision. This Wednesday, the transition between physical therapy and physical preparation began.
The player has now made a full recovery, but Cruzeiro is proceeding with caution. After all, the midfielder was absent from the team for most of the first half due to a knee injury. In fact, Matheus Enrique should not play in Cabroso’s next match, against Juventude on the 20th.
However, the midfielder’s recovery is encouraging for the Copa do Brasil. The player should be fully available for Leonardo Jardim in the first leg of the semi-final of the tournament against Corinthians on December 10th.
