Early this Thursday morning, Russian forces once again attacked energy infrastructure in several Ukrainian regions, particularly Odessa, causing severe damage to facilities of vital importance to the country, especially as winter approaches.
The state prosecutor’s office reported in a telegram message that the Russian military has attacked Odessa’s Artsy city with drones, affecting government buildings and some ongoing reconstruction work in the area.
While there are currently no confirmed casualties from these attacks, prosecutors have warned of the seriousness of these actions and accused the Russian government of deliberately attacking these areas as part of a strategy to advance a framework of aggression that began nearly four years ago.
Similarly, the state energy company Ukrenergo noted that such attacks have also been recorded against facilities in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk, causing power outages as part of a new Russian operation against Ukraine’s energy sector.
