Brazil’s representative in the Academy Award International Film Award race has an unusual “secret agent“” has already earned 9.4 million reais and was seen in Brazilian cinemas by 412,246 viewers, according to data from the Uncinema box office management system.
Production, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, starring Wagner Mourawas officially premiered on the 6th, and the preview session has already been viewed by 56,514 viewers, with cumulative revenue reaching approximately R$1.3 million.
During its first week, from last Thursday to the day before yesterday, the film was shown in 1,374 cinemas, with an audience of 355,732 and a box office revenue of R$8.1 million.
With this performance, “The Secret Agent” became the top grosser at the domestic box office, followed by “Predator: Wild Lands” (323,943 viewers), “Black Telephone 2” (106,861 viewers), and “The Secret Agent”. ‘Who Wasn’t For You’ (81,221 people) and ‘Back to the Future’ (51,807 people) – the 1985 classic returns to theaters this month to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Despite only just beginning its theatrical release, the film is already the sixth most-watched Brazilian film of the year. In the overall ranking, it ranks 43rd out of 901 titles being screened in movie theaters.
