US President Donald Trump on Friday (November 14, 2025) accused Democrats of staging a “travesty” in the case of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and announced that he would call for a federal investigation that would include former President Bill Clinton and other figures.
“Despite the Justice Department releasing 50,000 pages of documents, Democrats are doing everything they can to push the Epstein hoax again with waning power,” the Republican said on his platform Truth Social..
Epstein, a tycoon and convicted sex offender who committed suicide in his cell in August 2019, set off a series of scandals related to his child abuse network, which implicated him and some of his guests, many of them world celebrities.
“Epstein is a Democrat, and he’s a Democratic problem.”
The opposition Democratic Party, which is in the minority in parliament, now wants all documents related to the case released. The FBI and Justice Department announced several months ago that after an internal investigation, they could not release any more material without harming key witnesses in the trial that convicted Epstein.
