Three players from Verdane’s youth squad will be options for Abel Ferreira’s match against Santos
Palmeiras will face Santos at Vila Belmiro this Saturday night (15th) at 9pm, with a squad full of absentees. Abel Ferreira will have to suffer at least 11 casualties from players on the national team and suspensions. This allows descendants of the base to request passage and have a chance at Baixada Santista.
The three players trained in Albiverdes’ youth team will hope to have more space in the classic match against Albinegro. Eric Bere, Riquelme Filippi and Larsson should be among the players Abel Ferreira could qualify for in the Classic.
The first two are already well known to Palmeiras fans. Bere, an attacking midfielder who has spent a long time in the club’s academy, is one of the big names in Palmeiras’ academy. The player played 38 games and scored 19 goals for the U-20 team and was called up to participate in the World Cup in this category. Eric Belet made his debut against Juventud at the Allianz Parque and played 15 minutes.
On the other hand, Riquelme Philippi is attracting attention in the European market with his dribbling skills. This season, the striker scored 23 goals in 42 games and has renewed his contract with the club until 2029. He made his first team debut in July against Gremio, playing eight minutes.
Palmeiras latest information
Larson is new. The midfielder arrived at Palmeiras on loan from Goias at the beginning of the year. The player played in 32 games and was eventually called up by coach Abel Ferreira to train with the first team. Coach liked what he saw and made a definitive purchase. With Lucas Evangelista and Andreas Pereira out, Larsson is likely to get his first chance at the Classic.
