Brazil face Senegal in a friendly, the final stage of Ancelotti’s test for 2025.

The Brazilian team will return to the field this Saturday (15th) at 1pm (Brasilia time) to face Senegal at the Emirates Stadium in London. The match marks the start of the final friendly of 2025 and gives manager Carlo Ancelotti another opportunity to fine-tune his squad ahead of the final cycle towards the 2026 World Cup.

The initiative in the British capital is the penultimate initiative in Brazil this year. On Tuesday (18th), the team closes the calendar with a match against Tunisia in France. Interestingly, the Brazilian and Senegalese are already guaranteed to qualify for the World Cup and are not expected to be in the same pot in the draw scheduled for December 5 in the United States, so they could meet again in the group stage.

Since taking charge of the national team in May, Ancelotti has emphasized the importance of making 2025 a year of observation. Coaches strive to get to know their athletes, especially those who play varsity soccer. This call-up has given space to two new players: left-back Luciano Dzyuba from Bahia and outstanding striker Vitor Roque from Palmeiras. Fabinho, who was called up for the first time since the 2022 World Cup, will also return.

While Brazil is using this period to consolidate ideas and define a group that will last until 2026, Senegal is experiencing a different period. Before concentrating on the World Cup, the African team will compete in the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held from December 21st to January 18th.
