Every Sunday, Emilio Vara, an innkeeper, poet and philosopher from Seville, posts one of his ideas on the pages of ABC de Sevilla. Like many of the texts on the walls of Casa Moreno, where he works, they are short texts about life and the city. His thoughts, transcribed onto white paper in careful calligraphy, are a fitting reflection of a man considered a modern-day billionaire. Because, as he says, “He lives for what excites him.”
