He stressed that the movement demonstrates the abandonment of what he called “fake news” and “gossip against Brazil.” For the minister, this change is a direct result of the recent talks between the presidents of the two countries.

Favaro said relations between Brazil and the United States have returned to normal after the meeting between President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and President Donald Trump in Malaysia two weeks ago. He acknowledged there are some outstanding points, but said he is optimistic.
–From the moment the two leaders and presidents met, good diplomacy was established. He said there is more than 200 years of friendly relations between Brazil and the United States, and the outcome will be a return to normalcy.
