The conflict between a section of Hymnasia’s employees, in particular the health team, and the club’s leadership has once again come to light with the spread of a letter via Instagram (@equipodesaludcge). In it, experts express their “deep displeasure” with what they consider to be systematic non-payment of salaries and lack of proposals to resolve the situation.
As detailed in the details, the club is obligated to pay a portion of July’s salary and all months of August, September and October. Despite the desire to maintain the requested meetings and team duties (which they note are strictly beyond the scope of sport), they assert that they have not received a concrete solution from the board.
The experts emphasized that the facility did not take appropriate action, despite sending a formal notice more than 72 hours in advance warning that care services could be suspended if payment was not made. He also questioned that while debts with other workers had been cleared by September, there was “no similar compliance” for health workers.
“This decision reflects an alarming lack of consideration for our work and utter disregard for the negative impact this has on our institutions,” they said in a written statement.
The statement underlines the team’s historic commitment to all areas of the club “in a variety of circumstances” and concludes with a renewed call for the salary issue to be resolved to avoid further complication of internal functions.
