Gustavo Mioto talks about his acting debut in Globoplay’s vertical melodrama

— I was already thinking about acting, but not about melodrama. It was my first opportunity and I just thought it would be cool so I jumped at it. But I was already thinking about acting in a film or series with a different theme.

He said he hadn’t expected the invitation, but felt he had to accept immediately. Amid the show’s hectic schedule, Mioto talks about how he balanced his recording and music career:

–The invitation came out of the blue. When I went to work on “The Voice,” Dani (Bussoli) from Formata told me about this project. She said I had a role. It was a new format: Globoplay’s vertical melodrama. He explained to me that he had thought of me, that the character was similar to me, that we had the same principles… We only had a few days in the studio, so it wasn’t difficult to balance recording and shows. It was 10 days. In the middle of recording, I had to go out for a show one weekend and came back. We recorded from Sunday to Wednesday, then did the show from Thursday to Sunday, then recorded from Monday to Saturday. If it was a melodrama that had been recorded for six months, it would probably be more complicated.

Mioto, the romantic partner of actress Maya Aniceto, talks about what it was like recording the kissing and romance scenes.

–The romance scenes were calm. Before recording, I sat down with Maya to talk and understand what the limits of things were. I wanted to understand how the technical and professional parts of things work. She was very kind from the beginning. I didn’t feel embarrassed. Maybe it’s just the first scene. After that, we were able to get a very good feeling of partnership. So it went unnoticed.

When asked if she is considering pursuing a career as an actor, Mion states that her calling is music.

— I felt a good atmosphere, I felt very good doing a melodrama. The group I worked for, the whole team, the management, all of that was very helpful. I think that’s what sparked my interest in appearing in something bigger, but I’m a singer and my career is music. It was a great experience so maybe someday it will become something more.

Mioto has concluded the “Inconfundível” tour, and the last performance will be in Aracatuba, São Paulo on the 29th. However, he revealed that there are still many projects to be launched in the final part of this year.

— We plan to launch international music videos, international music releases, soap operas and album projects both in Brazil and abroad. A lot of things happen from the end of December to the beginning of January. It’s a time of intense work. But God willing, I will be taking time off in January to fulfill some personal dreams as well.

When asked about his love life, Mioto, who has been single since his breakup with singer Ana Castella, replied that he prefers to keep a low profile.
