This Saturday (11/15), eight World Cup qualifying matches were held in Europe. Spain defeated Georgia 4-0, almost clinching the championship. Switzerland defeated Sweden, so they will only be counting on themselves for the next round. Belgium drew with Kazakhstan and missed out on the standings.

World Cup: Nigeria and Congo advance to Africa Playoffs final
Spain stepped into the next World Cup. The Spanish team, who played away, defeated Georgia 4×0 and reached 15 points. Goals were scored by Oyarzabal (twice), Ferran Torres and Zvimendi. Spain missed out on qualification as Turkey defeated Bulgaria 2-0 and reached 12 points. Spain and Turkier will face off in the final round of qualifying.

In Group B, Switzerland hosted Sweden and won 4-1. Ndoye, Xhaka, Manzambi and Embolo scored for the home team, with Nygren scoring the only goal for the Swedish team. With this victory, Switzerland increased their lead to 13 points. Kosovo follows in 10th place. Both teams will play on Tuesday (11/18).
In Group J, Belgium had a chance to qualify for the World Cup, but they ended up drawing 1-1 away with Kazakhstan. The goals were scored by Satpayev for the home team and Vanaken for the visiting team. If the Belgian team wins away, they will be guaranteed a spot in the World Cup.
