Actress Eugenia “La China” Suarez sat down on The Late Show with Mario Pergolini and defied expectations after a year of silence and avoidance from the press. She claimed she was “vengeful” and ended up dating boyfriend Mauro Icardi, who left nothing for his ex-lover Wanda Nara.
“Pink Elephant” was settled between Pergolini and Suarez, and from the beginning of the conversation it came down to “Daughter of Fire”, the title of the series in which Suarez will appear. She identified with the character when the driver asked her if she was vengeful. “In real life, yes. But not when I go and destroy a car. I get really hurt. I don’t raise my voice, but I end up saying things that I later regret.”
“La China” speculated that she is “impulsive,” adding, “There are days when it’s hot or it’s about to happen, so I pick up Twitter and put it on. Mauro knows that when something like that is about to happen to me, he has to take the phone out of my hands.”
“We’re doing well because we have no other choice, especially when we’re nervous,” Suarez continued. After a reporter mentioned the word “marriage,” Suarez mentioned his conflict with Nara for the first time, saying: “But he has to divorce. He will divorce within a few months.”
Faced with this situation, Icardi had already “wired” the microphone and was watching closely behind the camera, waiting for a call from the driver. Finally they met and the football player presented him with an autographed shirt. Between friendly and nervous smiles, Eugenia mentioned Pergolini and said: “I love being “girlfriend” now. People ignore me in Turkiye, but I’m happy.”
The player began his participation by talking about how accepting Turkey has been of the couple. “Fortunately, the Turks love me very much and they seem to have idolized her since she arrived. That’s also one of the things that has helped her a lot.”
Before ending the controversy, the athlete stated that he was uncomfortable with his girlfriend’s on-screen nudity, saying, “Like, I don’t like that kind of thing. I made it clear to her on the first day.”
Returning to the question about marriage, Mauro assumed, “First we have to get divorced. We’re waiting for that. It’s already over. We’re going to get divorced in March 2026. Once we get divorced, we’re going to start planning for the wedding. We’re going to celebrate the divorce,” to which his partner quipped, “The good thing is that we’re calm. The good thing is that we’re calm.”
