This Saturday (15th), during an event held at the Otavio Rocha plenary of the Porto Alegre City Council, the preliminary candidacy of Juliana Brisola (PDT) for the Government of Rio Grande do Sul was officially launched. The event was held as part of the PDT City Convention and attracted more than 900 people, including supporters, party leaders and representatives from different regions of the province, demonstrating the political importance of the mobilization.

In her speech, Juliana emphasized that pre-candidacy marks the beginning of collective construction and defended policies that focus on the real needs of the people. “Now is a time for unity and building, and a time for broad and deep discussion of national issues,” he said.
Juliana Brizola, 50, is a lawyer with a master’s degree in criminal science and has been in public life for more than 15 years. The former Porto Alegre city councilor and three-term state legislator reinforced her commitment to issues such as education, social rights and transparency at the event. The primary candidate, heir to Leonel Brisola’s legacy, entered the debate with a signal of internal strength and hopes of expanding his alliances in the coming months.
