Adelivaldo Cardoso, the regional manager of Botánico Gardens, who was present at the scene, confirmed that there were no serious casualties in the incident, saying: “Only one person who suffered from heavy smoke inhalation was taken to the hospital. The (bar) owner was very nervous and shaken and needed medical treatment.”
Fire Department (CBMDF) and Military Police Police (PMDF) were called to the scene. The expertise of the Civil Police DF (PCDF) at the scene will help determine the cause of the fire.
