A traffic accident claimed another life in La Plata. The victim, a 53-year-old Buenos Aires prison employee, was traveling on a motorcycle when he collided with a Chevrolet Meriva.
The tragic incident occurred this afternoon at the intersection of Routes 31 and 522 in Ringeret. Members of the 11th Police Station intervened in what was described as an “unjustified murder.”
The victim was identified as Raul Nestor Barrenetxea, 53, who lives in the area. He died from severe injuries and arrived at the hospital with pieces of plastic from the car embedded in his body.
The 43-year-old woman driving Meriva’s car was not injured. Both the Chevrolet and Rouser 250cc motorcycles were seized.
The cause of the fatal accident remains the subject of an investigation. Arriving police officers located the driver, who sustained no serious injuries, and the motorcyclist, who suffered the brunt of the attack.
The man suffered serious injuries, including “exposed fractures, a plastic wheel embedded in his chest, and few vital signs.” He was taken by ambulance to Gonet Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigative operations were carried out at the scene.
