A 36-year-old man was killed by a truck on BR-287 in San Pedro do Sul this Friday evening (14th). According to information from the Federal Road Police (PRF), the accident occurred at around 8:45 p.m. at the 284 km mark of the highway.
The victim, a resident of the municipality, was hit by a Scania truck with a Belo Horizonte (MG) number plate. The pedestrian was injured by the impact and died instantly.
The 27-year-old man driving the truck was not injured. The highway was shut down overnight for an investigation and traffic was completely blocked until the process was completed.
