At around 1:30 pm this Saturday (15/11), the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) arrested two men for stealing from a vehicle in Settle Commercial Sur, central Brasilia. The two men broke the car window and took a backpack containing clothing and personal effects, a notebook and a mobile phone worth about R5,000.

Officers found the suspect still in possession of the stolen property. They were identified by the victim as the perpetrator of the crime. During the inspection, the military discovered that one of the detainees was under house arrest.
The two were taken to the 5th police station where a case was registered.
PMDF emphasizes that vehicle theft is a crime of opportunity and advises drivers not to leave valuables unattended, park in well-lit areas, lock doors and windows, and call 190 if there is any suspicious activity.
