Readers are divided on the success of “Tremembe” – November 15, 2025 – Reader Panel

In a series like this, the perpetrator of the crime is more romanticized than the victim, who plays a supporting role in the story, and I think this will resonate with the public. At the same time, I think this says more about who is watching than the work itself. As a lover of psychology and the human heart, I consume exactly this kind of content, trying to understand the perspective of the person who committed the crime, always fully aware of what was done and the purpose of the series.

Juliana de Souza Moreira (SP, Sarto)

Art cannot be censored. Things exist in the world and can be explored by artists. However, I think this type of series is dangerous. It glorifies relationships, people, and attitudes. I wish works like this were more documentaries.

jean da cruz rodríguez (Rio de Janeiro, RJ)

I really like it. This type of content seeks to showcase humans who, contrary to what everyone thinks, perform horrific acts that are not far from us. These people are always living with us and circulating in society, whether we like it or not. Such a series acts as a mirror.

Ellen Ceccalica Azevedo (Holtlandia, SP)

I just don’t feel comfortable with the approach these series take. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. It’s really incredibly bad taste. You could even call it exploitation.

maria christina martinez (Campinas, SP)

These are important because they show the raw reality of Brazilian society. And the crime does not only originate from the socially disadvantaged classes. And when people become interested in money, they lose all empathy, love, and sensitivity.

Pedro Valentim (SP, Baul)

When I think of tragedies, I think of not only the excessive amount of money given to the murderers, but also the lack of respect for the families of the victims. Because producers are making money and attention by commenting on this subject.

Raquel Souza Viana (São Paulo, SP)

I never understood that this suggestion was a glorification of criminals, but quite the opposite, a kind of indictment of the human perversions that we are constantly dealing with.

Dennis accurate (Porto Alegre, RS)

It should not be made public, much less made public. It alludes to crime and ultimately creates a “criminal hero.” Must be removed from all video and viewing platforms.

italo junior (São Paulo, SP)
