The homophobic publication came after Palmeiras’ victory over São Paulo in Brasileirão in October. On this occasion, Vitor Roque posted a merry-go-round on Instagram, and in one of the images he published a photo of a tiger after preying on a deer, a derogatory term used for homosexuals.
For this post, the Prosecutor’s Office of the High Court of Justice for Sports charged him under article 243-G of the Brazilian Sports Justice Code (CBJD), which deals with discriminatory acts.
Vitor Roque, who was called up to the Brazilian national team according to FIFA data, will return home after the match against Tunisia on Tuesday (11/18). He will be available the following day when Palmeiras face Atlético against MG in Brasileirão.
