STU Rio: Raissa leads on the street, Sky Brown shines in the park

This Friday (11/14) STU Rio recorded unexpectedly great scores, important classifications and eliminations. Raissa Real, the Brazilian star of the women’s street competition, lived up to expectations. She led her heat and advanced to the semi-finals this Saturday (15th). On the other hand, players who left strong names on the domestic and international scene ended up falling by the wayside.

Fadiña scored 77.15 points in heat three of the women’s street race, the highest score in her group and second highest overall in the phase behind 15-year-old Chloe Covell of Australia, who flew in heat four, with 84.92 points.

Raissa excited the audience and strengthened her connection with Rio. “Just being here in Rio and being with the players and my family, there’s a really good energy. It’s like being skateboarding in your backyard,” she said.

Japan’s Mizuho Hasegawa was the best of the day with 85.68 points.

The Maranhão native returns to the track this Saturday (15th) with the aim of reaching the finals of the final stage of Pro Tour 2025.

Women’s Park will feature Sky Brown Show, Japanese Leadership and Brazilian Elimination

Women’s Park also had a great performance. Japan’s Mizuho Hasegawa recorded the highest score of the day with 85.68 points, and star Skye Brown, one of the favorites to win, passed with the second highest overall score of 83.46 points.

Among the Brazilians, Raika Ventura won with a great performance, but there were two pieces of bad news on the day. Indiara Asp and Fernanda Tonissi were eliminated.

Indiala lost the same heat as Skye Brown, who was the strongest of the day, and bid farewell to STU Rio with a score of 61.67.

There is an astonishing exclusion and classification of Brazilians in Men’s Street

Men’s Street was full of surprises on Friday as well. Canada’s Condarno Russell, an Olympic finalist and one of the favorites, was eliminated in the first stage, as were Brazilians Ismael Henrique and Wallace Gabriel.

Lucas Rabelo, Bruno Meran, Gabriel Aguilar, Isamel Henrique and Matheus Mendes all comfortably advanced.

Brazil also stood out in the men’s park. Luigi Cini won with a great score, scoring 88.33 points. This is the Heat’s highest score and the second highest overall score among all competitors. Kalani Koenig also qualified. Among those eliminated, Matheus Guerreiro was ultimately eliminated despite showing a good line in heat 1.

The big name of the day was Sweden’s Hampus Wimberg, who scored 89.97 points, the highest overall score in the men’s skatepark preliminaries.

STU Rio returns this Saturday (15th) with the men’s and women’s street and park semi-finals. Raissa Real, Skye Brown, Hasegawa and Mauro Iglesias are among the highlights of the day as the Rio public prepares for the next round of great skateboarding in Barra da Tijuca.
