Kosovo defeated Slovenia 2-0 away, so their participation in the World Cup was not confirmed.

At a good stage, Switzerland practically guaranteed participation in 2026 world cup by defeating Sweden 4-1 in Geneva this Saturday. Coach Murat Yakin’s team went unbeaten in nine games and amassed 13 points. The right to participate in the World Cup has not been confirmed, so kosovo won Slovenia2-0 away. Switzerland, who has 13 points, and Kosovo, who has 10 points, will face each other on Tuesday in the final round of Group B. However, Switzerland has a much higher goal difference (12 to 1).

Switzerland, who had not conceded a goal in five games, took the lead in the first half with a goal from Embolo in the 12th minute, but they were tied by Sweden with a goal from Nygren before the end of the first half. Xhaka’s penalty and 25-year-old Ndoye’s Manzambi in stoppage time sealed victory for the home side in the second stage.

Another team that also struggled in the first half this Saturday was Bosnia and Herzegovina, who were trailing at home to Romania but managed to come back 3-1 in the second half. Austria leads Group H with 18 points, while the Bosnians have 16 points. Bosnia and Austria will play in Vienna in the final match on Tuesday.

Romania’s goal came in the 17th minute of the first half when striker Birligea converted Mihaila’s cross from the left in front of goalkeeper Vasili. Bosnia equalized early in the second half with Dzeko’s goal in the 4th minute, Vajraktarevic converted in the 35th minute, and Tabakovic scored their third goal in the 49th minute. The comeback was facilitated by Dragas, who had entered the game two minutes earlier, and was sent off in the 23rd minute.

In Group C, Denmark took the lead at home against Belarus, but came back to claim a 2-2 draw. The Danes, who have 11 points, face Scotland at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Tuesday. Scotland lost 2-3 away to Greece. The Scots have 10 points and need a win.
