Tatuape: PM camera shows SP explosion scene – 2025/11/15 – Daily life

Body camera video shows the moment investigators discover a body in the rubble of a house that exploded in Tatuape, east of Sao Paulo, last Thursday.

The house was allegedly used to illegally store fireworks. A total of 11 facilities were shut down by the Civil Defense Authority due to the explosion, 10 of which were closed permanently.

The body found in the mansion was that of Adir de Oliveira Mariano (46). The identification by the IML (legal medical institution) was only confirmed this Saturday (15th). According to the SSP, he has been released to his family.

His lawyer, Fernanda Canno, said he must have lived there because his relatives lived there.

The report had access to excerpts from six videos recorded with body cameras by police officers from PM’s Gate (Special Tactical Action Group), which specializes in deactivating explosives.

One of the videos shows an agent arriving at the gate of a property with no lights. The walls of the mansion reflect red light like a Giroflex light. A truck that appears to be from an electric company is parked there.

The image shows one of the agents holding a cell phone in his hand, presumably calling to announce his arrival at the gate.

Another police officer can be seen in the image and can be heard saying on the radio that he was supposed to be “moving people away” as the gate arrived.

In the third video, a police officer with a flashlight claims to have located the victim. He also used his radio to say the building was collapsing and asked his companion if the area was the kitchen, which other officers confirmed. “It is the entrance to the kitchen,” he said in a correspondence.

In the audio, police officers can be heard saying that there are “lots of bombs” at the scene. “Here’s another bomb,” says the prime minister, walking ahead. The image shows him bending down to pick up something on the floor.

The officer, who was recording with a camera attached to his vest, received the object after asking his superiors.

In the recording, you can see a lot of debris on the ground. The agent then goes to the body again.

“Initially, the body was here under the rubble,” a police officer said over the radio. Police officers are searching through the rubble on the ground.

Elsewhere in the video, police say they searched the inside of the car in the home’s garage and were able to access three boxes. There are bottles on the floor of the house.

Adeel has two records with police for releasing balloons, one in 2011 and the other in 2012. In one of those cases, he was acquitted.

Police said Adeel’s social network posts also indicated that he worked in the balloon business.

Representative Filipe Soares, who is in charge of the investigation. Last Friday (14th), the man said he had stored explosives inside the house, but it could not yet be confirmed whether he had manipulated or manufactured any artifacts on the premises.

Police also want to know whether he acted alone or if others were assisting him, so they can independently identify his actions.

The SSP said in a statement that the incident is being investigated by the 5th Cherko (Specialized Center for the Suppression of Crime and Other Events) and is working to identify all those involved, including the suppliers of the seized materials.

The ministry said it is “continuing its efforts to fully clarify the facts.”
