If you love cycling and would like to cycle between the center of Rio and the South Zone, your mission will become easier if you go this Saturday, the feast day of the proclamation of the Republic. The trial run by the Rio Transport Engineering Company (CET-Rio) will temporarily install approximately 10 kilometers of bike lanes, connecting them to the 7.3 kilometers of bike path that already exists between the two areas of the city, connecting Plaza de Maua and the Leblon waterfront. The project will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will occupy a stretch of waterfront road near the building, adjacent to the median strip.

There will be 2.7 kilometers of bicycle lanes in the Center Zone and 7 kilometers in the South Zone. This area, dedicated to traditional e-bikes, starts at Plaza Maua and runs along Via Rio Branco to the corner of Nilo Pesaña.
