This Saturday (15th), Palmeiras lost to Villa Belmiro. In the delayed match against Brasileirão, Verdun faced Santos and lost 1-0 due to Peixe’s goal in stoppage time in the second half.

The result saw Flamengo overtake Albiverde in first place in the standings, while Santos moved out of the relegation zone.

After the final whistle, goalkeeper Carlos Miguel spoke to the press.

— There’s a lot to gain from this game, and that’s learning. We know our focus and commitment. You have to fight to get to the front lines. That’s what we’re trying to do: keep our feet on the ground. – said the goalkeeper, stressing the need for immediate action.

Carlos Miguel also stressed that the group is ready to chase Flamengo and regain the lead. ”We have a championship in front of us, so we’ll go after it. Steady, strong, always looking upwards” he added.

Despite his strong individual performance, Carlos Miguel avoided talking about himself and continued to focus on the group. When asked how he is dealing with the streak as a starter, the goaltender said:

– I Thanks to you, I feel much better. But the game’s personality doesn’t suit me. I always want to win, that’s all. – he declared, expressing concern about the results of the final leg of the Brasileiran.

Palmeiras, who lost against Vila Belmiro, are now preparing for the next round, knowing that a win is essential to face Rubro-Negro.
