Democrats are trying to “divert” attention from Epstein case – DW – 2025/11/12

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) accused Democrats of trying to “distract” attention from other issues by releasing threatening emails from deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“Democrats are bringing back the Jeffrey Epstein hoax because they will do anything to distract from how bad they did with the government shutdown and so many other issues,” he said on his platform Truth Social. In connection with the 40-day budget paralysis in the United States.

Democratic lawmakers on Wednesday released emails from Epstein that suggested Trump knew about his actions and claimed the current president knew “about the girls.”

Epstein lawsuit hasn’t lost any strength despite being officially closed

President Trump has denied any involvement or knowledge of the sex trafficking operations of his former friend, who committed suicide in federal prison while awaiting trial in 2019.

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee said the emails “raise serious questions about Donald Trump and Epstein’s knowledge of their horrific crimes.”

Four months after the Justice Department effectively closed the case by saying it had no more information to share, the turmoil over discredited investors continues to reel the Trump administration.
