CCXP, a pop culture event that has been held in São Paulo for more than a decade, today announced that North American Timothee Chalamet will return to São Paulo to promote A24’s new film Marty Supreme, distributed by Diamond Films. The 29-year-old actor’s appearance will take place on December 5th on the Thunder Stage presented by Claro tv+, and he will be interviewed on the same day on the Omelette Stage presented by BB.
The film was also shown for the first time at the New York Film Festival and received praise from the specialized press. “”“Marty Supreme” is a mix of “Uncut Gems,” “The Catcher in the Rye,” and “Jerry Maguire.” Timothée Chalamet delivered the best performance of his career. I loved it,” Variety Editor-in-Chief Ramin Setoudeh wrote in a post to X.
“Marty Supreme” follows Chalamet’s life as a table tennis phenomenon full of twists and turns since he started playing competitively. The film’s director Josh Safdie will also be visiting Japan.
Chalamet was already at CCXP in preparation for the release of his film Dune in 2023.
The event will also feature panels from “Only Crazy People Know,” a biopic of singer Cholan (1970-2013) directed by Hugo Plata and Felipe Novaes. The film stars José Loreto, who plays the lead singer of the band Charlie Brown Jr., and was produced by Bravura Cinematográfica, co-produced by Globo Filmes, and distributed by Downtown Filmes. This attraction is the first released agenda for the new Blast! This space will host presentations, interviews, and other activities.
CCXP also announced that the band “Fresno” will perform a show on Sunday the 7th, the last day of the group’s activities. The presentation, featuring the band’s past hits and songs from their latest album “Eu Nunca Fui While,” will be held on the Creators & Gamers Stage.
The next CCXP will be held at Expo Imigrantes from December 4th to 7th. Ticket options are still available on the event website.
