The Ministry of Finance and Economy, through the Directorate General of Heritage, has initiated the disposal process in the following manner: public auctionof the four estates owned by the Generalitat in Valencia and Castellón de la Plana.
As I published this, … According to the Official Gazette of the Autonomous Department of Valenciana (DOGV) on Thursday, these are three properties on urban land, as well as a residential building with parking space and storage, with an expected sale price of 964,309.55 euros in the first auction, if there are no vacant lots left. This is because four consecutive auctions will be held for each plot with economic proposals in sealed envelopes.
Minister of Finance and Economy, Ruth Merinoemphasized that the auction “reinforces the Consulate General’s commitment to the responsible, efficient and transparent management of public assets.”
Mr. Merino explained that this initiative of the General Directorate of Heritage “responses to the objective of making optimal use of the available resources, in order to avoid the maintenance of unused or unsuitable properties, which is a burden on the public coffers, and to transform them into assets that create value for Valencian society.”
Of the lots sold, the highest starting price at the first auction was Alameda Walk 15 in Valencia (former office in a residential building), base bid price is €669,872.99.
Next up is a house with a parking space and garage at 23 Calle Carcagente in Castello de la Plana (priced at 146,773.56 euros) and a house on land in the city. Cardenal Venrock Avenue 80th place in Valencia, value 75,903.48 euros. Finally, a property on urban land at Calle Morelia 2 in Castello de la Plana is being auctioned, with a value of 71,759.52 euros.
The launch of the offer will take place on January 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chamber of the Ministry of Finance and Economy (Calle Palau, number 12, Valencia).
The base price for bids in each successive auction is the price of the most recently voided auction, reduced by 15% and subject to upward adjustment for each new auction.
As sales are made at a fixed price, there is no right to increase or decrease the price, even if the surface area of the property or the buildable area attributable to it is greater or less than the stated surface area. Similarly, the price does not include any taxes or fees associated with the transfer, and the successful bidder must pay for these.

To participate in the first auction or any subsequent bidding held by Generalitat, an interested party or company must pay an earnest money deposit equal to 5% of the bidding base price of the lot for which it is submitting an offer.
The process is to enclose an economic proposal in a sealed envelope and hold four consecutive auctions. Won the bid to the highest bidder. Bids submitted for the second, third, and fourth auctions will only be opened if the previous auction is void.
Similarly, the awarding of each lot in an upward auction will be carried out in favor of the person who makes the most advantageous economic offer, and up to three further consecutive auctions for the same item may be held in succession for the same item if the first auction is invalid.
The presentation of offers for any of the four consecutively called auctions is preferably carried out in the General Register of the Ministry of Finance and Economy within 20 working days, counting from the day after the announcement in the DOGV.
