Actor Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested in July for allegedly assaulting and threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend. This is not the first time Zachery, best known for his role as Brad Taylor on the Home Improvement series (1991-1999), has been accused of violence. There have been four similar incidents in the past five years.
According to TMZ, the victim, whose name has not been released, told police about the circumstances of the July 3 attack. The incident is believed to have happened after the actor bit the actor’s nipple as a joke while the couple were lying down.
The woman also reported that the actor threatened to kill her during a new argument several days after the attack. Brian reportedly said, “Shut up or I’ll shut up.” His speech was included in a lawsuit filed by a woman.
The woman’s accusations include abusing the couple’s dog. Zachery allegedly threw bleach in the animal’s face in June, a month before the attack.
The court handed Brian a five-year restraining order, effective until September 2030, requiring him to maintain a distance of at least 100 meters from his ex-girlfriend.
This was not the first time Zachery had been accused of violence. There have been four similar incidents in the past five years. The actor’s defense attorney did not comment on the new charges.
