Liniquel continues to carve its name in the history of Brazilian music. Nominated in seven categories at the 2025 Latin Grammy Awards, including the main categories of Album of the Year, Recording of the Year and Song of the Year, the São Paulo artist reaffirmed his creativity with Caju, an album that mixes soul, pop and Afro-Brazilian ancestry. “Veludo Marrom” and “Ao Teu Lado” are among the most acclaimed songs, cementing the singer as one of the big names in the new MPB.
The Grammy Awards ceremony will take place this Thursday (11/13) in Las Vegas, and Liniker will be competing alongside artists such as Bad Bunny, Karol G, and Alejandro Sanz. The presence of this Brazilian in the prestigious category strengthens the international reach of her music, while at the same time keeping her feet firmly planted in the Brazilian realities and sensibilities in which she sings.
Kaju’s success has been praised by the public and critics. The album was named one of the albums of the year by Rolling Stone Brazil, and Liniker was named artist of the year at the 2024 Multi-Show Awards. “This album is about love, reconciliation, and spiritual power,” the singer defined in a recent interview.
And with this energy, she will arrive in Brasilia on December 14th to close the second Estilo Brasil Festival at Ulysses Centro de Convençães. This show promises to combine emotion, performance and spirituality in a celebration of contemporary Brazilian music.
