The CLABE Award jury also recognized “Juanl Sánchez’s innovative career in digital journalism spanning almost 20 years, in which he knew how to connect his beginnings in radio with the digital world.” Since his first years as a journalist, Juanl Sánchez has been experimenting with digital formats, first as a reporter, then in 2009 creating the basis for projects such as Periodismo Humano, and since 2012 as co-founder and deputy director of elDiario.es, an editorially innovative medium and a sustainability model based on connection with readers.
In a strategy to bring this medium to new audiences, “Un tema al día” is also a collective voice that demonstrates in a different way the work and sensibilities of the entire elDiario.es editorial team. The team that produces this podcast every day also includes Carmen Ibáñez, Marcos García Santoña, Pedro Nogales, and Izasquun Perez.
