Haaland’s two goals and Saaroth’s two goals kept the team at 100% in qualifying and effectively guaranteed a spot for the 2026 World Cup.
Most passports are stamped. On Thursday (13th), Norway defeated Estonia 4-1 in Round 9 of Group I of the 2026 World Cup European Qualification, effectively sealing their place in the tournament. Sorloth and Haaland scored two goals each to seal victory for the home team in Oslo, while Sarma scored for the visitors. All goals were scored in the second half.
In this way, Norway maintains 100% success and comes much closer to qualifying for the World Cup. This is because the team leads Group I with 21 points from seven games and has a positive balance of 29 goals. To overtake Italy in second place in the group, the Italians need to score 19 goals in two games, including a head-to-head match between the teams next Sunday (16th).
Additionally, Norway boasts the best attacking power in European qualifying with 33 goals, with Haaland leading the scoring with 14 goals.
Estonia, on the other hand, no longer has a place and will only reach the standings in the final stages of qualifying.

game
Norway controlled the game in the first half, but could not find the back of the net. Nusa and Oscar Bob troubled the Estonian defense with their individual play and dribbling, but their crossing skills were lacking. Haaland received little attention. Estonia, on the other hand, were persistent and took advantage of the Norwegian’s mistakes to create danger.
However, the scenario was different in the second phase. Norway clinched the victory with two goals from Sorloth and two from Haaland in just 12 minutes. Estonia, on the other hand, made good use of Saarma, who scored 19 points.
