Rockstar Games has announced that Red Dead Redemption will be released on December 2nd for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Xbox Series, Android, and iOS.
The announcement comes hours after the game was rated by the ESRB on the new console and its App Store and Google Play pages went live.
Players who already own the backward-compatible digital version on PlayStation 4, Switch, or Xbox One can upgrade to the new version for free. Additionally, the PlayStation 5 version will be available in the PlayStation Plus catalog on the same day of launch.
Rockstar promises to deliver a 60 fps experience, improved image quality, HDR support, and up to 4K resolution on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. On Switch 2, the game supports DLSS, HDR, Joy-Con 2 mouse control gameplay, 60 fps, and high resolution.
It was also reported that game save data from PS4 and Switch can also be used on PS5 and Switch 2 versions.
As for the mobile version, the gameplay is tailored for smartphones and tablets, and Netflix subscribers can download and play it at no additional cost.
