The former president said “the hearing was conducted in a transparent manner” and that the costs were immediately refunded to the club.
Former Corinthians president Duilio Monteiro Alves issued a statement to the Ministry of Communications on Thursday (13th) about his use of corporate cards during his time in charge of the club. He said the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Casio Conselino, tried to justify the expenditure as unjustified. Additionally, the former agent said he had refunded the money to the club, but did not provide a receipt in his statement.
“The hearing was conducted in complete calm and transparency, reflecting the cooperative attitude the former president has maintained since the beginning of the process,” he said in a memo.
Additionally, the former president said there were reimbursements “immediately after the expenditures.” He said the total did not exceed R$1,300 during his three years in office. However, this expense attracted the attention of the Ministry of Public Affairs as it was disconnected from the facility’s sporting and administrative needs.

“Dulio Monteiro Alves, former president of the Sports Club Corinthians Paulista, did exactly what he had always said he would do, giving a prompt and objective explanation on all the topics requested before the Ministry of Public Affairs.
The hearing was conducted in complete calm and transparency, reflecting the cooperative attitude the former President has maintained since the beginning of the process.
It is worth clarifying that expenditures identified as “personal” will be reimbursed to the club immediately after they are incurred and will not exceed R$ 1,300 in total during the three-year term.
Durio revealed that during his time at the helm of Corinthians, he always acted with respect, responsibility, frugality, calm and confidence in managing the club’s expenses. ”
