Prediction of match results
Previously, Persib Bandung had a busy schedule appearing in the 2025/2026 BRI Super League domestic competition and having its first match in the ACL 2 event.
In the first match of Group G ACL 2, which took place on Thursday (18/9), Maung Bandung managed to draw only 1-1 against the representatives of Singapore, the Lion City Sailors. Meanwhile, Bangkok United managed to secure a convincing 4-2 win over Selangor FC (Malaysia).
The AFC Champions League Two (ACL 2) match between Persib Bandung and Bangkok United on 1 October 2025 is expected to be close. Persib Bandung, who only drew in the first match, needs additional points to maintain their chances of qualifying from Group G, while Bangkok United top the table with a 3-point win in the first match.
Persib has strong optimism even if they have just lost in the league, and can achieve positive results even if their opponents have maximum strength at home. Bangkok United have home advantage and positive results in the first match.
There is a chance of victory for both teams, although Bangkok United are slight favourites. There is still a chance for Persib to win because the team is more complete and optimistic in overcoming the stages stun ACL2.
Since the strengths of the two teams are considered quite balanced, the result of this match could be a 1-1 draw. However, if one of the teams had managed to look more solid, they could have achieved a narrow 2-1 victory.
The results of this match will determine Persib’s steps in maintaining their chances of escaping tough competition in Group G, which is occupied by four teams, namely Persib Bandung (Indonesia), Bangkok United (Thailand), Selangor FC (Malaysia) and Lion City Sailors (Singapore).
Coach Bojan Hodak also stressed that his team is ready to appear more focused. “We didn’t play optimally in the first match, but we will try to improve our performance in the next match,” he said.
